Root Crap!!!

ok i think i made a boo boo....last nite i went to update cm7 to the latest version 7.1.0, and thats where it all went south for me. I did the update and the update was fine, did a back up, no problem, but then i went to install the steel blue theme i have for it in CWM and that was fine too but when i went to restart my phone it was just bootlooping. So i went to attempt a restore of my previous ROM and the message said "md5 mismatch" any ideas friends?

that was only problem 1...

the second one is i reinstalled CM7 and now my market is all funny, when i go and download a new app, it says error not able to download or something of that nature..

no idea what i did wrong

May have just been a bad flash. you might try deleting the 7.1 zip from your sd card and then download it again. get the gapps zip from xda that is optional for that rom. you may need to start fresh to fix this. to simply fix the market issue you may try going into rom manager and fix permissions. this may work it may not. it could be as simple as a reboot to fix the download issue.

OK I think I figured out my issues I started over from scratch and reinstalled cm7. but now I have a different problem, when I go to install busybox it says there are multiple versions exist already. how do I find out where they are and fix this issue?

I am going to be honest I am not sure what busybox does but it is already on your phone im pretty sure. Someone with a bit more knowledge may be able to enlighten us both on this. I am sure there is a way to check what version of busybox is already on your phone from the settings on your phone but im not sure how to get to that. I do know that you can download an app called sd maid from the market and when you open this app it will show the busybox version.

for example

I honestly think that you are good to go. I did find this about it if it helps.

BusyBox: The Swiss Army Knife of Embedded Linux

BusyBox combines tiny versions of many common UNIX utilities into a single small executable. It provides replacements for most of the utilities you usually find in GNU fileutils, shellutils, etc. The utilities in BusyBox generally have fewer options than their full-featured GNU cousins; however, the options that are included provide the expected functionality and behave very much like their GNU counterparts. BusyBox provides a fairly complete environment for any small or embedded system.

BusyBox has been written with size-optimization and limited resources in mind. It is also extremely modular so you can easily include or exclude commands (or features) at compile time. This makes it easy to customize your embedded systems. To create a working system, just add some device nodes in /dev, a few configuration files in /etc, and a Linux kernel.
