crashed going to cm7 asop, any help would be appreciated

I have flashed my phone many times.

I was previously on a fresh cm6. I made a backup and then I wiped my cache and data and I upgraded to asop cm7 via clockwork rom manager.

I did a upgrade from and pointed to the zip aospCMod-20110302-signed.zip.

Currently my phone vibrates shows the HTC sign then reboots and vibrates with the HTC sign in a loop?

I am not sure what to do, any help would be appreciated.

I used menu and down volume to get back into maintenance mode. I am doing a factory data wipe.

Should I try loading form Zip again or go back to a backup?

You should wipe cache and data, then go into Advanced and wipe Dalvik cache. After that, go into Partitions and format boot, cache, data, and system.

You can then flash the ROM image and the GApps. You might have had an issue because you did not do a full wipe as outlined above.

First, if you have a backup, then boot into recovery, ( Hold Volume Down and end key at the same time for 2 seconds, then when prompted hit the Home key and you will be in recovery )

Wipe data/Factory Reset
Wipe cache partition
Advance/Wipe Davlik cache
Partitions Menu/Format Boot
Partition Menu/Format System
Partition Menu/Format data
Partition Menu/Format Cache, then flash the New GB Rom from today march 2 and then flash the latest Gapps I have posted in the same thread, once done reboot

Haha. Man, DonB and I have been hitting on the same notes quite a bit lately. :)

Great minds think alike I, suppose. Cheers. :D

I know I am going to sit back and watch now, I am too slow on the trigger these days, LOL, 2 heads are better than one HaHa :)

sorry I must be a bigger noob than I thought, perhaps I should just return to my backup:

I did the following.

Boot to recovery

Wipe data/Factory Reset
Wipe cache partition
Advance/Wipe Davlik cache
Partitions Menu/Format Boot
Partition Menu/Format System
Partition Menu/Format data
Partition Menu/Format Cache

then flash the New asop Rom from today march 2 and then flash the latest Gapps

I got the same HTC rolling reboots

FYI, I am pulling my SD card out while I do all of this until I install the new asop.

Thanks again

I thought My Issue might have been removing the SD card so I tried it again this time with the SD card still in the phone.

No Luck, I am just going to restore my backup for tonight, I will try again tommorrow.

Thanks again and any input would be appreciated.

There might be an issue with your copy of the ROM being corrupted. Try downloading the ROM again and flashing it another time.

It does not happen often, but it is worth a shot. Why are you taking your microSD card out?

Wow what great luck, my most recent backup has an md5 sum miss match, so I guess I have to restore an old backup, at least I keep all of my old ones :(

Yeah I was thinking of redownloading.

I was taking it out to be extra cautions to make sure I did not accidentally lose the data on my SD (Over protective LOL)

The best policy is to always make a backup of your Nandroid on your PC. I have a few backups of important Nandroids that I have done.

I just keep them on a folder on my desktop. That way they are easy to access should the need arise.

Are you using CWM, or RA, and did you rename your backup, if you did that usually is the cause of the check sum error, or using a different version recovery from what you originally flashed, if you rename your back up, I usually leave it as is, and then simply change the end of the file name and add the Rom and my date with no spaces, this way if there is an issue I can always delete what I entered and the original name is still there. Now if your going to have to flash an older backup, or redo your whole phone, then you might as well wipe everything again from fresh and do a complete fresh install and download the Rom again to be on the safe side

Taking the SD card could of been the issue, no need to take it out, I usually have a full back up of my card, so if something ever went wrong I have a full back up on my PC

ok, try installing a 691 kernal cuz the 2.3 rom might have had a 768 kernal that you cant boot(lol this might sound noobish)
