Help crazy charging issue

Recently begun having issue with chargers. 1 car charger acting like bad charge port where charge indicator would light but battery would discharge, now 2 wall chargers doing same thing. Tried both sprint and aftermarket. Have coworkers Motorola charger and charge working fine. Sprint store ordered refurbished EVO but I have to unroot. Any wall charging suggestions.

If you have a wall charger for your battery, you could do it that way.

Very strange the chargers are acting up like that. Have you tried to hold the cord in different positions or wiggle it to get a better connection?

Also if the charge light comes on and its still not charging, you might have a bad battery.

When you're ready to unroot, post up a thread in the all things root forum, we'll be glad to assist. :)
 
Have done battery swap and yes I did have 1 go bad and just talked to Virizon and counfirmed that car chargers charge at higher ratings than house charger and they confirmed the charge port is bad.

I'll put something in rooted section as soon as replacement comes in however if I accept the latest OTA won't that knock out my rooting ????

I also thought of just using the dock I bought that charges batteries and keep a spare, just aggrevating

When you get your phone, don't accept any updates, none! We have root available for all of the OTA's, but the latest is a little fubar, but still doable.
Once its activated and all that jazz, boot to hboot and see which one you have. Post up a thread and we'll get you rolling! :)

The charging port going bad is one of the biggest weaknesses of the OG. Very common issue.
