Help Crazy high display battery usage???

Hey guys, I have a Droid Incredible running gingerbread 2.3.4 on Cyanogenmod 7.1 stable, using Incredikernel 2.6.38.8. I installed the "very agressive" voltage tweak from the incredikernel.com downloads section. CPU is set to 245 min/1075 max using the SMARTASS governor. I'm using Juice Defender Ultimate and it has been working wonderfully to decrease my battery usage between 3G and WiFi. However, it seems my display is eating up my battery despite all these modifications. My battery is at about 5 percent remaining after 8 and a half hours. The display has used 73 percent?!?! Cell standby is at 6 percent, android system: 5%, phone idle: 5%, browser: 3%, Wi-Fi: 2%, Android OS: 2%, and Maps: 2%. What the heck am I doing wrong that my display percentage is so high??? Or is it something to do with my configuration I'm currently running? I've read on the forums that others running configs similar to mine are able to pull close to 24 hours of usage time under heavy strain. What can I change to get my phone to last that long??

Need more info on your actual usage. If your screen is on a lot while everything else is mostly idle, obviously the screen will be a higher percentage. Also, is it an amoled or LCD screen? Brightness settings? With an AMOLED screen, using dark screens/backgrounds/etc. will help as well ( LCD it won't matter, as the light are actually at a constant brightness, it's just some of the light gets blocked for darker images. ) Do you press the power button to turn the screen off/lock the phone every time you are not using it, or do you let it auto-turn off? Do you have lots of auto-sync stuff that wakes the screen?

Try clicking on display under the battery usage to see what the actual on time of the display is, and compare that to your up time. EX: With 360 mins of up time, my screen on time is 50 mins and makes up 8% of my battery usage running stock ( Obviously, undervolting /etc. will cause other stuff to use less power...so their percentage will naturally go down, while the screen..using the same power...will go up. )

My understanding is that this is quirk with how cm7 reports the battery usage. AFAIK the high percentage does not actually correspond to high battery usage.

And there is a fundamental issue with comparing battery life between phones. If I say I use the phone heavily or moderately, etc., you don't actually know what that means.
