Help Crazy thing happened...

I have had an HTC Inspire through ATT. Last week I decided to load my pictures that I had taken with my phone to my computer. Which were roughly around 300 pics. When my phone got done side loading the pics, I looked in the folder where they were to view them and there were over 3000 pics that had uploaded. Some of them looked like a shot of web pages where I had visited, small pics of advertisments, and my origanl pics where tripled on my phone in different sizes and views. In all it has taken me almost of week to sift through these pics to try and recover what I actually took. I am about to dumb another load of pics on my pc in a couple of weeks and do not want to go through this again. Please someone tell me what to do, or what I am doing wrong!!!!

What did you use or what were your exact steps to load them to PC? Sounds like you synced everything.

just plugged in and my normal window to transfer pics , videos, and files pops up as usual. Tagged them to a folder and they side loaded. chose the option to delete them off my device after loading.
