Root Create a complete copy/back-up of current system?

I remember with my old Android phone you could create an img of a your phone that would be a complete copy of everything you have currently. It was extremely useful because I could just flash it if I messed anything up and have my old phone back. How do I do this for my droid bionic?

I haven't looked but look around for a custom recovery like cwm (clockwork mod) ill reposted if I find anything.
