Help create a read only folder?

Hello everyone,
Can i create a read-only folder, so that the files i put inside cannot be deleted?? for android 4.2 & up.

thank you all

The limitation there is fat32. So for a folder in the internal storage (including the emulated sd card) you could use a terminal emulator to change file permissions. Won't stop a system app deleting things though, and of course nothing you do will render a folder factory reset proof.

Yeah, as the guys said, the "SD card" won't support normal Linux permissions.

If you are rooted, you could create a read-only folder on the internal storage (i.e., whatever is not part of any internal emulated SD card as @Hadron indicated).

Which partition you might use would depend upon how big the files you plan to install there. Also, if you chose an ext2/3/4 type-filesystem, you could set the folder and files with the immutable attribute which would absolutely prevent them from being deleted unless and until that setting was revoked.
