Root Creating Contacts Help: DJ05 related?

Hey I'm having trouble creating google contacts with my phone, especially after installing DJ05...

When I try to create contacts, it never shows up in my list... I have to navigate to groups => google and then it shows.

Whenever I hit settings => display options => google... my contacts app crashes with "Sorry! the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly..." and I end up force closing.

Oddly, If I go to manage applications => clear data for both Contacts and Contacts Storage, the problem fixes temporarily, but shows up again later!!@# WTF!

So yes, I am posting now imploring for help... anyone else have this?

Could it be the bloat that I removed?
Kernel? (I don't think so because I ran stupidfast and Voodoo5 adry test2 and both kernels still have this issue)...
Rom?

I never experienced this but I rarely add contacts form the native contacts app. I just tried adding one though to see if i experience the same issue, I did select Google when asked type of contact. After it create the contact, it showed up in the list.
So, do you choose Google or Phone when creating the new contact?
 
@Tooch01: trying to create google contacts, it shows up in my groups => google, but not in the standard list.

Thanks for the responses everyone, I guess I'll try flashing JT's Super Clean since everyone seems to like that.

Quick question: can I flash this over Voodoo5? I'm using adrys 12/17 test 2 right now... or should I disable, flash a different kernel, and then flash the superclean?

You don't need to disable.to.flash jts rom...,it doesn't have a kernel in it as of .6
 
flashed jt superclean rom and still no worky worky... damn going to play around more until i figure this damn thing out

Noticed that this problem comes from creating google contacts twice... can anyone try this?

hit +create new contact => google contacts => make something up
Then make another new contact (make something up again) [Does this 2nd one show up for you?]

Just tried the above steps and both contacts showed up with no issues..sorry.
 
Yeah no luck so far, I'm not sure what it is... thanks for all the help anyways you two...

Guess my phone doesn't like google contacts. Just going to try one more time, starting from scratch and see what happens
 
Yeah it's not working, tried again: flashed DJ05 stock rom and DJ05 stock kernel... factory reset and everything. The only thing left is Odin, but I don't think that should make a difference. Still doesn't like me creating google contacts...:mad:

I don't understand... why is it only me? Boo..
 
Odd. I am experiencing the same error over the past few days, but only when I try to add or change a contact picture. Force closes android.process.acore without fail. I have tried everything short of a wipe that I can come up with, but it seems that won't help for sure either... I am running DJ05, Geeknick 12/19 kernel. I'm not sure when this started since I do not change contacts often, but it is bothersome...

Any help (which seems to be the case all over) would be greatly appreciated, as I am currently beyond my knowledge set with this...
 
I was able to defeat the issue.

I updated to DL09, radio, kernel and a new ROM (Blackhole v3.0) for the heck of it and I am 100% back to happy - happier actually...
