Help Creating folders to store emails

I have just started using the Galaxy S2. Have set up email (non-gmail or hotmail). I can receive emails but they automatically get deleted after a while. Is there a setting I need to change to prevent this from happening (or is this supposed to happen?)? Or can I set up folders to move the emails to - other than the trash folder?

I don't think it automatically gets deleted. There is a setting where you set up period for sync. That means if you specify one week, it would only show emails from up to a week ago.

I used it for my 3 email accounts. Yahoo, Hotmail and Gmail.

Going into Account settings on the email icon (I use the Bigpond email server) I can change the Email Check Frequency and whatever setting I use there is the time period that emails are kept before they disappear (unless I do a refresh and then they disappear from view). So if I have an email check every 10 minutes anything new will only be kept for 10 minutes.

How do I set up folders to move emails into so that I can keep them on the phone for longer than that email check frequency?

Not sure if moving into another folder would actually helps since that would also likely be set up to show emails from 10minutes ago too. There should be 3 icons on the top of the email where one is to move the email to another folder. But like I said, it might not help.

10 minutes is a little quick right? Why don't set it for a couple of days or something like that.

I was fiddling around with it today and now the 'Email Frequency Check' option has disappeared and the 'Period to sync email' option has appeared in the Account settings. Not quite sure what this does but will leave it at the setting of 1 week to see what happens.
