Creating shortcuts to documents and media

How can I create shortcuts to documents and media stored locally and put them on the home screen? My mother is learning to use the Autoharp and I have several. PDF's, and. MPG files stored. How can I create shortcuts to them that sets on my home screen.Was planning to create a AUTOHARP folder containing two folders ifself. One to the documentation files, and the other to the instructional. Videos.

You will need a file management app that supports that. I believe ES File explorer does that.
