Root CRT on/off

so i was playing with my old optimus on PG's CM7 and I noticed that it has CRT off, as well as ON.

is there any way we could have the ON, on our phones for future kernel updates.

Here is the mod for it but it will have to be ported for the lg esteem...look at the last post on the first page.

i think this mod might be for if the crt off animation is already built into the framework-res.apk. it looks like this one is just for toggling it on and off. not sure tho.
