Root CRT Screen off for ally?

I've been searching and searching for hours now, and I was wondering what other people thought abotu the CRT screen off animation that seems to be a standard with gingerbread. Does anyone else like it? And would anyone like to see it for the Ally? Im going to try and play with it for a little while and see if I can get it.

As it would be awesome to see with a current froyo build but death2all has said that it would need to be built into a source build for it to work so dont count on it yet but maybe in the future if we see the cm7 finalized that gnm is so nice enough to work on for this community

yeah thats what ive been reading everywhere, that it actually has to be built into the rom...well I guess its time for me to start looking into making a rom...

I read somewhere that that animation will only work on Gingerbread roms.

I did too, but i've also seen that some people have it working on Froyo, but I could be wrong..
