So I recently got a chance to review some of the CruzerLite TPU cases after having used them for a week, and I've got nothing but good things to say about them!
as we all know, our bare Rezounds, although having a sturdy build, are at risk of scratches or potential screen cracking. although it looks great, we should all look into some type of case to help protect our phones.
TPU cases are some of my favorites; i've had them since I had my incredible. now, bare, this phone isn't too bulky and feels great in the hand.
CruzerLite TPU cases help eliminate the bulk of a typical case, while ensuring a nice prominent lip around the edge of the screen; by doing such, laying the phone flat on it's screen is now something we can easily do without worrying about the surface scratching the screen.
these TPU cases come in a variety of colors, but the ones i was able to check out were smoked argyle, clear argyle, flat black, blue Android skin and the green Android skin.
the coolest ones are the android ones:
then there's a flat black for anyone who doesn't want any design:
now, i think the argyle ones look great, too!
i like the clear:
then the smoked is the one i've been using the most:

The construction of these cases is great; there are no flaws. The power button is cut out, and at first I thought it would be an issue since the button on these phones is recessed quite a bit, but in the end, i think the cut out power button is even better. By being cut out, there's no accidental hits to turn it on when in the pocket, and the cutout shape and size is perfect for your finger to fit in there (and i've got big hands! haha)
The volume buttons on this phone are recessed a lot as well, but CruzerLite opted to keep the volume buttons in place, rather than cutting them out. Although you have to push a bit hard in order to get the volume to change, I believe this isn't a problem at all, and you get used to it rather quick. I like this because I've seen MANY tpu cases for the incredible 2 where it was WAY too easily to press the volume button (especially Ballistic cases) and people were accidentally booting the phone into safe mode because as they booted it, they didn't realize their thumb was resting over this area of the volume button. Since it took little to NO pressure on those cases to hit the volume button, they would accidentally boot into safemode and not realize what was going on.
By having the power buttons on here and being a bit stiff, a problem like this will never occur. I feel they made the right choice in leaving those buttons on there, rather than cutting them out.
I've taken these cases off and on all week long, and none of them are showing any signs of wear and tear or flexing too much; it's still a super snug fit on the phone.
many people have been reporting overheating issues with their rezounds lately, but i haven't had any of those issues. having the phone in the TPU case does not seem to make it run hotter at all for me.
the speaker cutout is perfect, so the case doesn't cover up the speaker at all. all of the port holes that are on the bezel itself have corresponding holes on the TPU case, so there's no issues there.
the headphone jack hole is cut out perfectly, so all types of headphones seem to fit in there for me.
All in all, i'm gonna have to say that i'm sticking with CruzerLite cases for my Rezound and any upcoming phones I get. the cases fit well, look great, and definitely will protect my rezound from any drops it will have in the future!
