Current 2.1 Firmware? HTC Wildfire, Android Freezing Issues

Hi,
I purchased my HTC Wildfire A3333 a month back, and now i am facing an issue where the touch screen freezes.

Tried contacting them twice, they
kept my phone my two days, without any fix. I guess, it's a firmware problem, is it?
When i go to Update Software, in settings it says, Your Version is latest. And the software information shows, Version 2.1-Firmware Update1

Is this the latest one? Can one suggest me a solution or instructions on how to upgrade.

Thats exactly what happened to my Hero.

The only way to fix it is to get it sent to HTC for a software upgrade

It was with them for three days, but it's same hanging at times, after i got it back.
Is 2.1 Firmware1 The latest for HTC-Android?
