Current Bionic resale value - 25 Jul 2012

I've had my Bionic listed on Craigslist for 10 days, but so far have gotten only scammy responses. My listing includes 1 picture of the phone (with the screen on, showing the then-current date), and 7 other pictures of accessories, including (2) Otterbox Defenders, (2) Motorola car docks, (1) Motorola desk dock, (2) custom car mounts for use with the Otterbox, a cheap case/holster, a generic leather(ush) holster, a car charger and a wall charger. The only reason I can see for lack of response is that my price of $250 is too high.

Unlike with eBay, I can't tell what the going rate is for this phone on Craigslist because there's not way to know what's been sold, much less what the final purchase price was. Prices of sold Bionics on eBay seem to range between $145-$175, with one selling today for $225. As far as I could tell, at most these include only a charger in addition to the phone.

I may resort to eBay, but despite my 356 feedback with 100% rating, I hesitate due to the ever-increasing fees and their favoritism toward buyers in a dispute, particularly fraudulent buyer claims of non-receipt or damages items.

Is my price really that out of whack? Should I lower the price and sell some (or all) of the accessories separately?

Well, they are currently selling the Bionic for much cheaper. When my dad's Bionic was replaced by Asurion, they charged $100 for the phone. Samsung also offered $100 for my phone (if I swapped it out for an S3).

Not sure how much this helps. If you need to sell the thing, the only thing I can think of would be to lower the price to those Swappa numbers.

Ebay is a pretty good marker for resale values. I am always looking to buy Bionics and keep an close eye on ebay.

A mint condition bionic without accessories can cost between $150.00 and up. If you can hang (I'm posting this for those that may find this article on google, I know you sold yours :) ), You should get a buyer for what you want! I would have easily paid you what you wanted. Right place, right time, and holding out when your price is already more than fair can get you what you want. :)

I bought my Bionic several weeks ago in perfect condition for 185ish. There's a lot that are "scratched on the edges" or completely jacked up for 150ish, but I stay clear of those. I'm not sure why in the hell any phones with bad ESNs are even selling for what they do.

Developers can develop and testers can test software on a bad ESN phone without risking their daily driver.

I bought mine for $100 on Craigslist yesterday....Just phone and charger.

Pretty happy with it so far!
