Root Current Root and ROM Guide

[RadioFr33Europe]

With repeat problems, I've finally decided to root and rom.

Has anyone made a current guide to rooting the Fascinate? I found one at XDA, but it has a edited date in April. From what I understand, 2.2 changed the rooting process.

Then, how do you decide between the different ROMs? Is there an all-around best one for stability, de-VZW, and simplicity?

Here is the method that roots 2.2 Fascinates. I still having found which Rom I want to use.
