Root custom font

I found a font on my desktop, I'm trying to get this on my droid and getting hung up.
Its a .ttf file on my desktop, I copied it and renamed both copies to DroidSans & DroidSans-Bold put them on my sd card and put in the system/fonts folder using root explorer. Reboot and it bootloops or gets stuck on the M.

From searching the forum thats the way it was done before. Think it was back in... March.

Any ideas?

Which font? Sounds like you're doing it right, I really don't know, but I'd like to know which font you're trying.

Its called "Chiller" on my windows vista machine.

Ah, I've seen that one, looks like it's from a horror movie.

Check this..when i make the original copy from the system on my machine the .ttf is in caps, now I've tried to put on in both ways, caps and lower case .ttf. Thats were I get the difference in either M or bootloop.

ya the font is sick n I havnt seen it used yet
