For less than $5 (including the case + Shipping), I made a custom kickstand for the epic.

I used this case Smoke cover case Samsung epic. Some Electrical tape, a pocket knife, and a paper clip.

I carved a small hole on the case with the pocket knife, bent the paperclip how I wanted and tested it out. IT WORKED!!!

For precaution, I put electrical tape between the battery and that piece of paperclip.

If you buy a full non transparent case, no one can tell if the backing is there.

paperplip is a little wobbly, but thats fine

Custom Kickstand 2.0 looks a lot better. I think I'd try something like that, but I wouldn't want it to be flapping around when it should be secured, or getting snagged in my pocket or something.

How well does the smoke case fit without the battery cover. does your battery wobble inside or are you getting dirt in the case?

It never wobbled. it did feel like a cheap phone when I was texting. I now have the battery cover on while the case with kickstand is on it. Works great

there are literally hundreds of premade and home made iphone kickstands that will work fine with epic.

just google image 'iphone stand"

I got a few for ours made out of plastic that fold up and fit in your wallet.

Though on the pricey side at $19.95, the Spider Podium is pretty cool, and can do a lot more than just work as a kickstand.
