Root Custom loading animation?

Are there any tutorials on how to edit a loading animation?

I recently flashed to AOSP (awesome by the way) and am wanting to change the loading animation that was provided with the ROM.

I assume by loading animation you mean the boot animation? If you do then check out this thread. Move your new boot animation to system/media and rename it bootanimation.zip. Reboot and you'll see it in action

If you are talking about the spinner for when the phone is loading flash or something it is possible but harder to do than the boot animation

I was talking about the spinner thing. Not sure what it is technically called.

Flash as if it were a radio. But if you got a new one with the rom, then it's probably a boot animation as discussed previously.

No not that. Say you're sending a text and it's processing. There is a little animated icon that usually spins indicating that it is busy. Like when your mouse pointer turns into an hourglass on Windows.

That's not easy to change. I would suggest trying different themes until you find what you like.
