89mb sounds about right on 1.7.1 but due to FM radio its bigger on 1.7.15 closer to 100mb

The radio? Its just FM.apk in /system/app

Oh sorry wasnt paying attention. I would keep the Fm radio to be honest... Hopefully they will reduce those files in the upcoming updates...
