on the top right of the lockscreen it says your network provider, (3,o2,T-mobile etc...)
i heard you could change this by changing the "spn-conf.xml" file in /system/etc
is this possible? has anyone had any experiance customizing it? and is there any how to threads out there?

thanks

I just did a global find on my Evo for that file and nothing came up. It might be phone-specific. You might be better served asking your question under the forum dedicated to your phone. Someone there may know the answer.

Code:
localhost / # find -name *spn*
localhost / #

I think that's going to be a phone/ui specific thing. I know you can do it on HTC sense using CDMA tools. But it's displayed on the lock slider, not up in the corner.

Yes, you can modify this file. I have a Galaxy S and the file is under /system/etc. But I have a Galaxy Mini and that file is missing. So it looks to be phone specific.
