Root Custom Recovery?

Has anyone made or is anyone making a custom recovery for the merc?

There is one on Cricketusers. I followed the step and the phone got the Blue screen of death. Either it was bad steps or they missed a step.

Tried it again and it worked the first time. Backing up everything just in case.
