Help custom ringtone contacts defaulting

I can add custom ringtones to my contacts, yet within a week or so they are all back to default settings.

did this before and after root. so anyone have a fix?

Mine stick. Have had the same custom ringtones for months for some of my contacts.

If you are using custom ringtones from your SD card and then remove the card for whatever reason, the ringtones will default back to the original ringtone.
If this is the case, try making a folder called Ringtones on your internal memory and copy them to that folder. It worked for me and I haven't had the issue since.
PS: The above works the same for Notifications as well.
