Help Custom Ringtones Doubled In Menu

Ilucifuge

Lurker
Hey guys, I am having another Issue with my Inspire, it involves custom ringtones. Whenever i make a custom ringtone on my phone, it saves on the SD card and is separated from the music play list (which is good). But i noticed that when the ringtone is applied to a contact or standard ringtone it ends up doubling in the selection menu. I've searched for doubles within the phone but all I see is the file that i created without any other copies. The ringtones that are doubled do play the exact same and are the same quality. I tried to delete the custom ringtones from my phone and it does remove one of the files but it leaves one in the menu. The files that are left behind that were doubles of custom ringtones do not play any sound and are basically non existent but they leave a file name within the Ringtone menu, its really annoying. Here is an example of what i see in the menu. Any suggestions or advice would help.

Ex:
Whistler
Windchime
Don't push Ringtone
DontpushRingtone

Or...download RingDroid from the market. there you can create ringtones from files you already have on your device! works well for me. and if you want some nice notification tones, download Zedge from the market. they have thousands of different notifications as well as ringtones and wallpapers.

if you used Ringdroid to make ringtones go to the app. You will see a list of all your audio. At the bottom there are all the ringtones you made with Ringdroid grouped together. Delete them and when you go back to your phone and notification ringtones there will be no more doubles. When you choose a tone it will be silent or make an alert. Redo the ringtones in Ringdroid. There will still be one copy of the ringtone name in your phone and the actual ringtone will be back when you choose a tone.
