Root Custom ROM comparison

Can someone compare and contrast the different ROMs that are available?

Also, are there any ROMs that actually update the phone to a newer version of Andriod... or are they all based on the version of Android and the stock rom images?

They are all based on stock for the time being

As far as a comparison it comes to personal choice. All the main roms have, for the most part, all the latest enhancements but with visual differences and slight differences to their installed apps. In sleipnirs case he has an extended power menu with screenshot and reboot. Tagged has the ics lockscreen. Mine has LG 2.0. But they are all brothers from the same crib so to speak.

The top ROMs that have been released in full are:

Aeneas - Stock with some modifications. Stock kernel.
Harmonia - Same as Aeneas, but some system app cleanup. Stock kernel.
ICS Elite - ICS themed apps, and extended power menu. Stock or giantpune's kernel.
Tagged - Slimlined, performance enhancements, init.d scripts. giantpune's kernel. Holo locker.
Sleipnir - All of the above, minus Holo Locker, with additional improvements, default governor changes, script cleanup, extreme/barebones app cleanup, giga hosts file for built-in adblock, and more. Still in development.
Hydra - The Build Your Own ROM version of Sleipnir - but with all stock apps, stock theme, stock audio. Still in development.
LGE - Unknown, still in development.

TheLGE v 1.5 is ready. Just need to use a comp for 5 min. Having trouble getting one to use. Very frustrating
