Okay, so I now have quantum rom on my phone. 2.2.1. I ran quadrant and was very dissapointed. Any reason I only got like 1000? The video I watched with the same rom got like 1500. Any other suggested roms? Which rom is the fastest?

Quadrant scores aren't accurate on the Epic so I wouldn't worry too much. ;)

Does quadrant advanced work? And is there a test I can run to test the speeds of different roms that isn't quadrant? I really want to see which rom comes up with the best scores.

No more so than regular scoring.

There was a large discussion about the scores on xda and from what I got from it... Well, I wouldn't rely on it after all that "hacks" that can be done to trick the scores.

IMO, find the ROM that you like and that works best on your phone and run with it. :)

Thanks a lot, so far I have tried viper, bonsai, and quantum. I like quantum the best so far. Any other Roms that you have liked that I can try?

i believe Kelmar is a Quantum user? i have kind of settled in with Viper, but the 3 you mentioned seem to be very good... a lot of people like Nebula as well. here are some threads you can check to see what roms people like and why:

I gave Viper ROM a try It's ok. Seems a little on the slow side. But I got to admit I love that I now have a choice on what ROM I run. Testing has never been so much fun. It would be nice if we had ROM repository. I will download Supernove and give it a go too. Also what about changing the kernal anybody have any feedback on that?

Not too much you can do kernel wise because we (i.e. the developers.... not me) do not have the source code for 2.2.1 yet from Samsung. Until they do they are truly limited to what they can do.

Check the portion that says Community ROMs

:) I was just looking at that thread. Thanks
Also testing the new updated Fallen ROM comes with kernal seems very smooth. I like this one:D

What is ASOP lock?

ASOP Lockscreen is the standard android lockscreen. That is, swipe right to unlock and swipe left to mute.
