Hey guys I know someone on here can tell me.

I have samsung theme desinger installed on my computer, and I know how to do a lot with photoshop. I have my own theme done and would like to know the following...

How do I use my own theme? Do I have to just zip the 2 files it makes when I save it? Or do I need something more in the zip file? Also I believe I need to flash a custom rom right?

Your help is greatly welcomed.

Release Date: 3 Nov 2011.

Samsung Developers has released the new version of Samsung Theme Designer.

The new version of Samsung Theme Designer is now available for download.

Samsung Theme Designer 2.0.0 is an authoring tool for designers and developers to create theme content for bada OS phones such as Wave 3 and Wave M. Samsung Theme Designer supports native Samsung Mobile phones. And Samsung Theme Designer doesn't support Symbian, Windows Phone, or Android OS phones.

UOT Kitchen is probably the easiest way to simply theme.

you will need to be rooted to do any themes.

i'm not much of a theme guy myself. lots of help can be found in the "All Things Root" section. just be sure to search first. there are a lot of threads that touch on different parts of themes. some have links to tutorials here and around the web.

ask when you need. share if you're so inclined.

best of luck.

Does that work anything like the panda theme maker? or is it a program i need to down load?

I will share when I get things worked out and get them going.

Thanks for the help.

Well I just figured out my question.... I went to the website and yeah it looks a lot easyer then the panda site for themes. I guess now I have to pick someones costume rom for my stock prevail and then I can get the files need for it to start work on my theme...again. LOL, but I guess I am learning new things.

Yeah man,

Ijust finished messing around with it and waiting for them to finish making my theme.

I went with CTMod2.4 for GB, my phone is running the stock GBrom so I need the GB rom CTMod2.4. I'll post on how it works out for me later.

Thanks again guys.

Ok well I have my theme done plus another 1 and I tried them both by flashing them to CTMod 2.4 and they will not work. It says that it completed the flash but when my phone starts back up its still stock CTMod 2.4 theme, not mine.

Is there a trick to this?

Oh yeah I have also noticed that my phone now makes me go back into CWM twice before it reboots, is this normal? Or did I do something to make it do that?

rebooting with power menu will boot into cwm twice. normal.

easiest way to flash your theme would be to download one of blood's wp7 themes and replace his /system files with yours. you can read the script while you're at it to see how it functions and what's different from the one uot gives.

glad to see you moving right along here.

that is good information. I may have a try at the kitchen. I was a little nervous about screwing up my phone. thanks!

if i use the kitchen to flash a new boot animation..but i end up wanting to switch back to ctmods boot animation..would i just restore a backup from before the boot-ani change or is there a better way?

keep them on your sd card and switch them with a file explorer

so instead of flashing with cwm...could i just download the animation..go to system/media remove ctmod media to sd..move uot animation into systems/media..and reboot..would it not stick that way?

whatever is convenient for you. maybe a sub-folder with the animation's description for a name since they need to be called bootanimation.zip to work properly. that can get confusing.

gotcha..the animation zip i downloaded isnt named bootanimation.zip should i rename it.?.then move the entire zip into systems media..?

Inside that zip. In media is a file called bootanimation.zip that is the animation, the rest is the installer. If that isn't the case, then yes, it should be named bootanimation.zip
