Root Custom .tot file CWM

Yeah I tried the .cab file and flashed it but then it got stuck at the box with the yellow arrow pointing at an android green guy, so now I need to know how to flash a .tot file but I don't know what program to use

Let me guess, you were stuck in a CWM bootloop and flashed the .cab over the top of it? If that's the case, then you are SOL at this point. There is currently no way out of that. Theoretically, you could edit a .tot file to contain CWM recovery and then use the boot loop fix, but that is theoretical at best and never been tried in real life.

A bad rom should not leave you at the android update screen after a .cab flash. Did any updates attempt to happen while you were in the rom or did you not make it into the Android OS?

i got the .dll file from the cab file is there another place to get it? and i tried to register it but it failed

Edit:Now i am using the files from ur guide and see if that works

ive tried a bunch of different lgpnst files and none work its all so confusing and i also need a .dll for vs920 but i need a complete guide with all needed files and that works for the lg spectrum...:(

Read this post on LG Revo for a general description and use the DLL for the vs920 (which is floating somewhere in this form).

I was able to restore a revo - complete back to stock with this method. Steps should be similar with the Spectrum, Ill also see if I can find that .dll

One issue was registering dll - for which UAC needs to be off :) Good luck

The guide I posted is based from the Revo one ;), steps will be the same just using the vs920 tot n dll. ;)

Here is the vs920.dll

dll from the cab most likely wont work, they rarely do.

the .dll file you gave me, had an error, lik couldnt load the module or something, make sure the binary i stored in the right path, im so close though!!

Google is your friend. With that being said, the best way to register is actually via the windows command prompt being run as administrator. I had issues using the right click method.

Playfulgod can I have that .DLL file again? I accidentally deleted it...

Someone said google is your best friend. I have been through google from right to left, found a few links but they are all dead links. For peace sake would someone please re-post the Vs920.dll. Please........................
