Custom Wallpapers

Is there a way to get Android to recognize wallpapers in the wallpaper gallery and not the camera gallery? I'm trying to add my own but it makes me crop the shit out of them and I want to the whole picture to show up..

If a photo isn't the proper aspect ratio for the screen, you need to crop. Android is not like Windows which does the inappropriate act of stretching/distorting an image to force it to fit.

The proper size of wallpaper is 960x800, or 6:5 aspect ratio. If your original image isn't 6:5, you need to select a 6:5 region. You do know you can resize the cropping rectangle, right? You can expand it to at least the full height or width of an image, only then loosing a bit in the other dimension.
