I was wondering how to make wallpapers for the Ascend. I have researched this, got our screen resolution, and have tried in numerous ways to make a wallpaper that is not ridiculously zoomed in.

I have tried a couple wallpaper programs and ventones.com, but I have no luck in remedying this problem. It seems the Ascend is the bastard child of smartphones when it comes to anyone sort of help online.

If anyone has any information, it would be greatly appreciated.

Switch to launcher pro or one of the other alternative launchers on the market. The 3x3 home grid is the problem. the others put all the home screens in a row.

I have launcherPro, but i have not tried tinypic yet. I will later on tonight and I'll let you all know. Thanks for the tips.

I've made several wallpapers that have worked fine on my phone with LauncherPro. I made them 640x480 as I have seen specified elsewhere, based on the Ascend's 320x480 screen size, and they don't have any problems with pixelation from expansion, or shrinkage. I checked with wallpaper scrolling enabled and disabled, looks fine both ways.

If you know a little about Photoshop, or GIMP (free alternative), it's pretty simple to resize an image, although you may have to crop it if it's in the wrong dimensions to get the effect you want. Alternatively, there are lots of online image editors, or even MS Paint if you want to go basic and ugly.
