Help Customise volume button function?

Hello there,

I know it's possible to customise the volume button on several phones, does anyone know if you can do this with the galaxy nexus?

For example, when playing music, it would be really useful for the volume button to function as 'change track' if held down or something like that.

Anyone know of an app or a way to do this?

Thanks!

I've been looking for the same thing. The only app I could find was Tactile Player. When enabled (icon will show up in the notification bar. wish you could hide the icon), and you'll be able to double-tap volume up/down to change tracks. I also wish you could hold down the volume to switch tracks like in most roms. I may want to try out Tasker though.

There is a free/paid version. Here's the link to the free version:

Hey, thanls for the replies, tactile player is exactly what I was looking for but I've installed it and it isn't working for some reason :S

I'll see if I can figure out why and will check out tasker in the meantime. Many thanks :)

Did you end up getting Tactile Player to work? You'll have to open the app to get it enabled. If using the free version, you'll have to bypass the first screen asking for donation. Once you get to the main screen, it should have automatically enabled the app and you should see an icon show up in your notification bar.
