Root Customizations

Now that I have flashed about 10 different ROMs in the past 14 days, and have found one that I am happy with, I'd like to customize. My problem is, I dont know/understand what a 'locker', 'dock', 'rosie', 'themes', or 'launcher' means or refers to. I know this is probably an elemetary question and you all are thinking, "hey, ding-dong.... how can you be rooting and flashing and not know any of that stuff...." but I dont get it. I'm also looking for a flip clock w/ weather that is the 4x1 size (I assume 4x1 means size). I have one that took up one row left-to-right and now I cant figure out how to get it back. I know I've probably asked a question with an endless answer, lol. Thanks for any assistance!!

lets start with the launcher,that is the way you use the phone. that is your ui. now we can theme the launcher. that just changing her dress. you can make it appear different with different themes. the locker is your lockscreen. there are different apps for this and different themes. google is your friend. i have many hours reading on android. and can use many more. hope this helps you homeboy

JUST KIDDING MIKEY!!!
All kidding aside, the dock is your bottom row of icons...the launcher is your overlay such as sense on htc--makes the layout of all icons/screens different....themes will change the overall appearance of colors on all screens......
As far as the flip clock, I would have to look for a clock widget for you as I am not fond of the flip clock myself..
A locker is your lockscreen when you wake up your phone I believe.
I used GoLocker for awhile...it was nice
I also used GoLauncher pro for a while...LOTS of customization with that one!!

Still follin with SOS although, I really dont dig it as much as when I first flashed it. I want something smooth, fast, with all the amenities, that I can theme out/customize, and that I can put some of the Sense stuff into that I like. I prefer a Sense keyboard. I like the flip clock. I liked Nitrous but hated the bottom bar with the little flat line thingys. I like that I could pick the stuff that I wanted with SOS. Same for Decks but I didnt know what half of the stuff was in there install menu.

I'm torn.... Decisions, decisions..... I was all good until the PRL update incident. I had to flash MikG back to get 00002 back. FML

When I ran MikG, I themed/modded the poo out of it...it looked suh-weet!
There are so many themes to choose from!! Too bad Timberwolf over there removed his mods...no more support... I have a copy of his Blue glass inverted semi transparent mod in my DB if you like blue.


You can use GoLauncher with MikG also if you desire!
There are alot of launchers available including, but not limited to holo, ADW, TSF shell, (not free tho), and others that I cannot think of.

I liked MikG. My only complaint was I couldnt send a picture unless it was added as an attachment. I couldnt click the pic and have the option to send. Otherwise, I lubbed it. I tried the ICS version of SOS but I only had 3 home screens. I'm gonna leave it as is. I saw a few themes I liked. I'm gonna stroke and tease the SOS a bit and see what comes about..... LOL
