Customizing the ICS Docking Bar on Galaxy S2...

Hi

I got my Galaxy S2 today, and I'm trying to change the Docking Bar on the home screen (The 4 icons along the bottom)... I want to put GoSMS on the Docking Bar instead of the stock Messaging app - Can I do this? :(

I have tried various Launchers, but they are a bit messy. Apex and Nova seem to not be able to position the Digital Clock Widget far enough up the screen, and ICS Launcher, which looks best, seems to screw up the AcuWeather Widget slightly by squashing it too much :/

If I have to use a Third Party launcher, then I want one that will allow me to use the default ICS Widgets...

I hope someone can help. Thanks :)

Demon.

Hi, go to app drawer (press 4 button in dock menu), then press menu ( left button from home button on the bottom of the phone, then choose customise (first one, if you using ICS), and you should see two folder in bottom, then a little bit up there should be dock icons, where you can easily change.

Also i have a question, is it posible to have 5th button in dock station without a laucher, like in note?

OMG I Love you!!!!!!

This has been turning my brain to mush. I am completely Smart Phone Savvy, but this got me LOLOLOL

PS. I cannot seem to get a 5th icon in - so I guess not :/
(then again, my track record.....)

If you want five icons on your dock bar, you could always try a different launcher. Apex gives a pretty good ICS experience.

I've just got ICS and of course lost all my own icons, etc., including the ones in the docking menu. I've disabled the default message app in favour of Handcent, but I can't remember how I got the Handcent icon in the dock menu and unfortunately I don't understand your instructions above!

Sorry if I'm being a bit thick, but I now only have 3 buttons in the dock menu and which button are you referring to as '4' - is that the Apps button? If so, when I press the home button I don't get what you suggest I should get above.

What you do if you are using the default Samsung Launcher TouchWiz is to open the app drawer, then press the menu key. You should see an option there to adjust settings or edit (sorry, I don't know what the exact command is). From there you should be able to go from three to 4 icons in the dock as well as drag the handcent app icon there.
