Cut right to the chase

Ok so what makes this device stand out more than others? What does it have most don't aside 4g? I'm about to resign a deal again (longer deal I suppose) contract with Verizon. I really want this phone and I'm about to shell out a few hundred for it. Where does this phone rank among with the droid x,s or the fascinates. My wife just got her upgrade and got the fascinate, she loves it. Why will you be buying this monster of a device we call the thunderbolt? I need you guys help!

IMO HTC has a better build quality then Samsung plus HTC is much better at supporting their products. And as far as the Droid X I know quite a few people who have no interest in a locked bootloader. And those are my main reasons to wanting the Thunderbolt over the fascinate and the Droid X.

For me it it for the faster 4G hotspot to use with my Ipad and because I love my incredible and don't want to switch away from HTC. Video skype with my 6 year old on his Itouch sounds cool to me as well when I am out of town.

Hmmm ok. Is the thunderbolt faster than both? Any cool features?

I believe the Thunderbolt will be faster because it's using a second gen processor. As far as cool features I don't know because most Android phones have the same features plus/minus a few. All three have a completely different skin on them and between all three I prefer HTC's sense.

1) The best 4G service in the country; best in terms of speed.
2) HTC is the best manufacturer in terms of updating their android phones (They also have really good build quality, IMO, and write good software).
3) Verizon is the best carrier in terms of updating their Android phones.

Thanks guys! My first smartphone I had was the HTC Droid Eris. Not a bad little phone. So I think I'm sold! Thunderbolt it is!

Lol well I went from the Eris to Motorola droid1. Not real happy with it. Huge difference between the d1 and thunderbolt I'm sure

Coming from the Eris or the D1, either way...this will be a HUGE upgrade. You are in for a treat!

I'm waiting for bigger and better things. . .

May be awhile though..... Bionic may be nice, but can not shake the boot-loader concerns. LG looks good too, but their update record is beyond bad. Ditto for Samsung.

Seems I may wait for the REAL Incredible 2 later in the year. Not sure.

I've had the Droid, Eris, Incredible ,DroidX , Fascinate back to Incredible and can tell you the HTC devices were better supported and better built. The UI is much nicer (IMO) . I love to modify and the root support is just awesome on HTC devices it seems like .

While the Bionic will be a more powerful phone with a couple cool features the TB doesn't have . I honestly believe the Thunderbolt is the more rounded device by a long shot
