Root CWM 6 development

ill have you run a couple more tests tomorrow when you get the chance, change the line we removed the # from in post 39 back to what it was to see if that breaks it again, that will tell us if it was the kernel or the recovery.rc, then we can go from there to try and fix what we broke for adb, should be a simple task tho

even if it did stop working though who gives a damn? recovery works, i made a backup, purposly broke my phone by formatting the data, cache, and system partitions which worked perfectly, then i restored the backup i made and my phone is back on just like it was when i backed it up. they want anything more they can do it themselves we have done more than enough in my opinion

yes, I tried in ~/android and in ~/android/system same message. What the hell happened?

Can you format dalvik and regular cache? Backup and restore? That's all we really NEED.

just issued the . build/envsetup.sh && brunch warp2 command, it started building, I hit ctrl+c to stop it, then I was able to build recovery again. Weird

im not screwing with my sd card partitions lol. someone else can test that. and i didnt test dalvik just now but i tested it earlier so it should still work kuz we didnt touch that functionality. now its just a matter of getting adb fixed and i quit they can have it as is, im sure someone else can work out the little kinks

This means serious ROM development potential. I can't wait for Jellybean!!!

i think it does a symbolic link making the lunch program act as if its installed as a program in the /bin/ directory. but yea gimme one sec im gonna try to repair the recovery.rc and what not to enable adb, one sec

that works, we can toy around with that one later, i know the 2g variant works tho so just use that kernel and this new rc file so we can see if adb will kick back on, we can fix other shit tomorrow

sweet, ill test that real quick and if it doesnt work **** it lol. we stabilized cwm itself thats good enough for one days work

still no adb, you can try my latest attempt at a fix in the rc file if you like but thats up to you i only got about one more left in me at this point lol. if not we can work it out tomorrow its not a huge deal really

considering two guys who honestly had no idea what the hell they were doing just fixed cwm id say its a job well done adb or not. and if we made it this far we can pick it back up and finish another time

k, last one i swear, im not touching that damned source code again till tomorrow. its gonna give me nightmares lol
