Root Cwm and cm7

Right people, can anyone help? Want to try cwm and also cm7. Have found guides on here and xda but my question is how can I revert to my officail firmware and recivery if I want to switch back? Have seen chismays sticky about changing from cm7 back to gingerbread but can I back up my current rom for reflashing if I want too? And then also go back to stock recovery?
 
Thanks for this! One last thing. How can I remove cwm and go back to stock recovery?
 
When you re-install stock ROM package with ODIN using tutorial, your recovery CWM is replaced by stock recovery, and you device returns to original (without CWM, without root, etc.)

Note: You can install CWM over stock ROMs. I suggest to use CWM 4 over Android <= 2.3.4 and CWM 5 over Android >= 2.3.5.
 
Hi, a few more questions if thats ok:

I have downloaded this cm7 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1258830 is this one the best for ace?

When I factory reset in cwm do I leave sd card in?
Will loose all my apps and have to reinstall?
Justbto confirm, I factory wipe in cwm, install cm7 from zip, apply the update fix, reboot and done? I have already used backup in cwm so presume that if something goes wrong I can use that?

Thanks in advance, just new to this and want to get it right!

im not 100% sure, but isnt it true the camera, gps, and wireless dont work with cm7? if this is the case surely its a MAJOR downgrade? ps. i dont mean to contradict i could easily and probably am wrong i havent checked out cm7 for months, (nightly builds htc hero gsm) also ps, with cm7 everything worked on the hero the gps was actually alot better

[ROM]GingercruztV2.3,CM7.2 Fastest rom of the series[Update 3Dec] - xda-developers So guys pls help me with this...is it possible to install this in ma version phone and if i want to revert it back is possible???im new to this forum n teach me how to install custom rom, flashing and upgrading too...pls kindly pls guide me guys...thank you
