Root [CWM] Development Thread

Using the method above I was able to boot in to the LTE2 recovery from shutdown after holding volume down when the lights were blinking. In the recovery I was able to make a backup. Where is the recovery stored so I can create the md5?

Functionality confirmed, this can be used as a legit recovery, how ever can some of the text and such be changed? we must have it for OUR phone X3

i dont know how to make more change so if someone want change something do it this are not my app not my work i just play with the file and i have question in this phone we have 470mb system so if you check your system rom in titanium backup tell me how much free space you have in yours ok please ;)

haha 470 MB (10.4 MB free)

So the prada version of cmw seems to work right? Not too sure of which one is more reliable /stable x.x seems like many recoverys work for this phone lol

NONE of these recoverys are really safe because these are made for LG phones! ZTE and LG are very different. I would recommend waiting til someone can either mod these recoverys for your phone, or make one that is made for your phone. Just a warning... I don't want to see perma-bricks because of this.

I installed the ROM Toolbox app and changed the boot screen animation and now my phone is bricked. It just freezes once it gets to the new animation. I went into Recovery Utility by pressing Power + Volume Up and wiped the data/factory reset and wiped cache partition.

I still have the same problem where my phone doesn't load up past the boot animation. Before the wipe it would freeze at the image of the new animation, now it just goes black. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Can I use this recovery file or the one in the other thread in anyway?

Thanks.

Go to zte website
Go to the support section for our fone
Download the USB fix.zip(about 304mb)
Rename it to update.zip
Put it in the root directory of your SD card
Get into stock recovery
Choose install update from SD
Choose update.zip
When it finishes, Reboot
This will definitely fix your problem, I did the same thing and it worked for me. The only drawback is your phone will go back to stock.

Hope this helped

There are some working ZTE type CWM we can possibly look for a ZTE phone close to our specs and android version to go off of, can't we? Like Boosts ZTE Warp Sequent. I would assume most ZTE systems are the similar it's just hardware differences to worry about. http://androidforums.com/warp-sequent-all-things-root/669226-official-cwm-6-0-2-7-cwm-touch.html
Also ZTE Blade III (Sorry if posting off site is against any rules I'll remove if so) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2121039 or http://theunlockr.com/2012/10/23/how-to-root-the-zte-grand-x/

Maybe one of these guys can shed some light?
Both have ICS installed, maybe it's worth a shot using ZTE style instead of LG?
