Root CWM ebay issue, need advice

You can state no liability no refunds all day long, in the terms of service to which you have to agree before you sell on eBay states you are liable and you have to offer refunds no matter how much you state otherwise.

I was selling a bunch of black silicone reminder bands a few years ago. You can't read what they say very well so in the pictures I rubbed white toothpaste in the letters and put in the auction that it was white only for the picture. Someone bought one then complained it wasn't black with white text. I finally told him I'd send him one with toothpaste once he retuned the one I sent. He never did return it. And I got to keep my $3.25.

1. LOL

2. Thats pretty dumb, so according to ebays terms if you sell something and the buyer breaks it then you lose. Regardless of who is at fault.

Yes.
It seems it doesnt matter what you put in your description, when it comes to "not as described" complaints. The only way around it is under the condition in the listing select "for parts". That should work, but you may lose a bunch of bids because of it.

Oh yeah, as an update, I gave in and let them return it (they paid shipping back). I unbricked it and relisted it, so this will be my last auction for a while.

I hope you restored it to stock. This is why the carriers don't want people to root their phones, because most people aren't smart enough to handle the responsibility.

I was once on a forum where you had to take a test before you were allowed to speak of such things
