Root CWM install hangs at "waiting for device" Solved

Been using Playful Gods 2.2 detoxed for a couple months now. I wanted to do a backup with CWM. When I tried to boot into CWM I used the wrong key combination and it did a firmware-software update. After that I rooted the phone and was trying to reinstall CWM. Now it just stops at a dos box saying "waiting for device" when I run install-recovery-windows. So I figured I would try to restore with Metro stock recover. and it does the same thing stops while waiting for device. I do have debug enabled and the phone is rooted. Any one have any advice?

Thanks

Are you sure you have your phone in the right mode? Boot by pressing Volume Down + End Call + Power.
I forgot that once and had it give me that "waiting for device" thing. If that's not it, hopefully someone else can help you out.
