Root CWM Install Help

After initially bricking the admire a while ago, I installed the 2.3.6 update to recover it. At first, it worked like a charm. I recovered Metro data, and fixed the market and everything, but ever since CWM was released, I've been trying to get it installed to the Admire. But here's where I'm encountering a problem. When I put my phone in downloading mode where I try to install the CWM in, my computer wasn't recognizing my device. At first, I thought it was my drivers, so I uninstalled my current ones and re-installed them from Samsung's web-site. When I plugged in the phone again, it still would not recognize my device. I've tried multiple cables, and tried it on different computers, but it was still not recognized. The only thing that comes to mind is that maybe when I put 2.3.6 on it, it somehow messed up the connection for the phone? Can anyone help me with this? Maybe a stock update.zip or advice on what I should try? Any help is very much appreciated. :)

I think I know what the problem is,go online and get a program called "usbdeview",make sure its your version 64bit or 32bit.connect your phone, run usbdeview as administrator then find all the Samsung drivers and uninstall them, then unplug your phone, plug it back in then let all the drivers load, then atlast put your phone into download mode and I'm almost certain it will install the driver.make sure you phones in debugging, and please if you get it to work let us know.:)

Thanks for the help, and I followed your instructions and uninstalled all the Samsung drivers, but when I plugged the device back in, and the drivers didn't install. I'm thinking it's something to do with the actual device. :(

No I don't think that's the problem.

Idk then, but Maby you should try a different USB cable,if that don't work then I'm stumped.

Yeah, as I said before, I tried a different USB cable. Huh, well I guess I'll just have to stick with my optimis m for now. Thanks for the help anyways, though. :)

http://unleashedprepaids.com/media/phones/Admire/Odin+OPS.zip

You will need Odin (unzip it)

http://unleashedprepaids.com/media/phones/Admire/admire-cwm.tar

You will need the proper drivers for your phone to get Odin Download mode to work..
http://k0nane.info/rom/indulge-drivers.exe

FIRST INSTALL THE DRIVERS!

Ok to get your phone into Download mode:
1. Power off the phone
2. Remove battery (make sure USB cable is unplugged)
3. After battery is removed put the battery back in.
4. Hold camera button down and plug usb cable back in.
5. Wait 4 seconds (yellow text should pop up) then hit Volume up
You should now be in Download Mode.

Now for ODIN.

Make sure you are in One pack install mode choose the OPS file included with the Odin zip.

Choose the Admire-cwm.zip as the one package installer file and hit start...

Your phone will reboot and you should be fine... go ahead and power it off now.

Now it's time to get to Clockwork Mod Recovery Mode that you have now just installed.

To get your phone in Recovery Mode you will need to hold the power button, the back button and the volume up button while the phone is powered off.. (Make sure your phone is unplugged and has good charge)

Yeah.. I kind of already knew that. xD But I got it now, guys. It's really weird, my computer only sees my phone when I plug the cord into my admire veeerry slowly. But I already have Admiral Beast installed, so I'm good. :)
