Root cwm md5 mismatch

Hello,, I installed cwm on my wife's and my phone after unlocking it.
I did a backup on both phones then rooted.
I went to restore mine and it came up with md5 mismatch.
I restored my wife's and everything went through perfect. I have done a lot of research on this and first thing is I didn't rename it so it couldn't have spaces in it. I did use the latest big version at 2fast site. I tried the adb shell and it did let me restore but had error on last thing installed which was user info I think.
I had tried another back up and restore and same thing happened.
My sd card is working right.
I am gonna reinstall cwm which Is the best I love me some cwm.

The question is why it happens, which looking around everywhere it just happens randomly a lot of the times and of coarse operator error most of the time.

Just would be nice to know what not to do in future and is this the best thing I can do is reinstall cwm.
Thanks in advance.

unlocked rooted up to date stock rom
boost mobile

Did you rename the folder that the backup was stored in? That is your culprit. You can rename the folder but ItCannotHaveSpacesInTheName. Good luck.

I'm still using 5.0.2.7 the original release. And have not had any problems at all. So i didn't feel the need to change it when 5.0.2.8 was released. I've read that there were a few issues with that release as well. You might want to try the original release. Just a thought

that happens a lot ive noticed cause i like playing with roms.everytime i try the restore i run into the md5 mismatch.
here's what i do:
1.go to the backup&restore option in CWM
2.go to advanced restore
3.select the restore system option
4.after it restores just the system i run the normal restore and it seems to fix the problem.

If you aren't changing cwm's in and out all the time. The issue with the md5sum is likely a corrupted sd card. Which was more then likely caused by using windows to add something to the card. Then not clicking unmount and switching to charge mode on the phone. Instead you just yanked the cable.

Yep I saw u telling someone in another post and I had never really thought about it. I safely remove thumb drives but didn't even think about my phone and yes I yanked the cord but thanks I know better now.

I got it once the other day but I believe it was due to my card being practically full. If you have a card reader back up the contents of the card. Then do a reformat to fat but instead uncheck the quick format option. I had one card that kept doing what is being talked about where it took me numerous times formating it as it would fail.

Where it was a older card that ran apps2sd and then in the mesmerize for vodoo. If the above doesn't fix the issue let me know, where I will test some of the cwm builds I have from the latest source, then post them up.
