does anyone know how i can install cwm or any other recovery on the system partition with out unlocking the bootloader? is it the same for all devices or is it different?

This phone does not have a locked bootloader.

its not for this phone i was asking for any phone or tablet in general. there is an app on the market but it only works for xperia.
how do they differ? i sent the developer of the app a pm and he said he could probably make it work for the device i asked him about but he didnt know where to start.

well for example, if you use that app, being that the xperia most likely has different mount points that your device, it may flash it to the wrong place.

yes i did but i havent gotten a reply. i even poted in the general section in xda and same thing lol
that happened with my s3 when i fist got it. flashed an international rom and it bricked it lol. i hat to exchange it.
so is it just the mount points that need to be changed or is it much more than that?

The recovery has to be built for ur phone. Even if it does install there is the issue of key mapping,
Then the issue of the recovery knowing the proper place to put stuff. Then you need compatible roms f or the device... The list goes on

sounds difficult. do you know any other way to flash a zip with out cwm? like adb or something? can rom manager install zips or do i still need cwm for that? im just trying to put beats and all those mods(not roms) with out having to copy from sdcard with root explorer.

dont even know what device you are referring to... and i would be very hesitant to try without a fallback... adb can push the files... but what happens if you end up in a bootloop? no custom recovery = no way to go back
