Root CWM recovery image?

I am looking for a Clockwork Recovery Image to flash to my Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G, along with the proper instructions on how to do so without bricking my phone. i have been googling this for a few days now, and have had no luck. from what i have seen, there isnt one? or maybe im just blind lol. Any help is highly appreciated.

Yeah there isn't a cwm for the attain and one isn't in development either since people just use odin I guess.

I personally don't own this device, but shabby messed with this device so maybe he might have a clue on where to find it

LOL I seriously don't know what to do with that... its a bin file

if i had to guess on why you wanted this file it was to try and do cwm? if so its fairly simple:

download:

• www.shabbypenguin.com/OUDstuff/Attain4G/Partitions/bml8
• use voodoo extraction tools to pull initramfs from it
• download official kernel source from samsung
• patch and fix it with all the missing drivers
• setup defconfig to point to the extracted initramfs

from here you compile and hope it boots/works as a stock kernel/recovery (as in this phone they are combined) now for replacing recovery.

• grab cm10.1 source by following their guide
• setup and make a device tree
• compile cwm
• replace the proper recovery stuff with the cwm stuff (leaving the regular kernel stuff intact)
• recompile with your new stock kernel/cwm recovery initramfs
• hope it boots (both regularly and into recovery)

hopefully taht gives yall some direction, i wish i could be more help but ive NEVER been able to make a working initramfs based cwm. maybe you guys will figure something out i didnt
