Root CWM Recovery - odd looking error(?) message

saltire

Android Expert
Just got the following message I've not come across before when wiping dalvik cache in cwm:

"E: Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
(File exists)"

It's followed by dalvik cache wiped ok line so don't think it's anything I need to worry about, but wondered if it's somehow related to getting rid of EXT3 partition on my sd card?

(Wiping dalvik 'cos i tried uninstalling the new market and freezing the updater in Ti, but old market now keeps FC'ing so was trying a reflash but not full wipe to see if that would work - posted in other thread.)

cheers Dan - how did i know you'd have the answer ;) Shouldn't it say something like "File doesn't exist" though  :)

If recovery thinks the file exists, it will show that.

Personally I would do a full titanium backup, do a complete wipe in recovery and reboot then a full restore with titanium then nandroid again. Cant guarantee it will prevent this in furture, but it may help.

Yep - twas last nights task Ti/MyB pro backup, full wipe, re-flash ROM, Ti/MBP restore - followed up by nandroid this time instead of being a lazy "i'll do it later" arse! If it still appears no biggie, now I know its due to EXT removal
