CWM Recovery Problem

YPA

Newbie
I just got a GS2 and I've rooted the phone.

I downloaded Rom Manager and install the latest recovery.

As I want to make a backup first before doing anything else I went into recovery and I got this:
-- Installing package...
Finding update package...
Verifying update package...

E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed

Installation aborted.

Can anyone help me out here?

I read in a few places that it's better you don't use ROM manager. Just use cvm for backing up your phone.

ROM Manager is well known for not playing nicely with the SGSII.

Use CWM instead.

Hope this helps. :D

CMW (or CWM Recovery to give it its full name) comes when you root your device.
You may also get a different version of it if you flash different kernels

To go into CWM Recovery, with your phone off, press VOL-UP+HOME+POWER until you see something appear on the screen, then follow your nose
