Root CWM V5.0.2.8 for MMX A87

Thank you all (Except the few who had at least replied in this thread) for absolutely doing nothing to help. :mad:

The news is I managed to get CWM v5.0.2.8 on my phone. HA HA..

Testing it now. will send the link via pm to a few..

I believe it will work on A57 as well.:D

Now who wants custom recovery?? let me see how many request and replies I get now :rolleyes:
 
My A87 faild to root,due to improper Qualcomm diagnostic driver. So I am waiting for a CWM and already rooted rom. My A87 fastboot works fine. Hope working sol comes soon.

i hope i could test this recovery but as i already told that my sis wont allow me

Wow bro awesome. how did that happen. tell me about how u found that out. did u use the koush builder for compiling that recovery. man im excited tell us how u got the idea.

so doors opened now wow. man.

I am not the brains behind it... It was someone else (Will be disclosed later).


I was wrong about graphics.c - it was the problem. The standard recovery called some hardware functions so the graphics.c file in CWM had to be tweaked.

Now the problem is with the keys. Once thats it sorted out, we will have a fully functional CWM.:D

bro, if keys are an issue maybe we could be greedy and get the clockwork touch recovery available. is that possible.

1st i would like to thanks to itzmiandy for is endless support

i was modding with boot.img to have init.d support and to have sd-card partition to include into internal memory like few other steps ,i was going through lot of tutorials and trials that i tollay forgot to come here and check
but u guys are just amazing
love to have u guys around
itzmiandy count me in for any test + trails
and bit with modding bcos i am newbie

well good news is that i got worked around to include sd-crad partition as internal memory with boot.img mod

i will be posting the boot.img in few minutes guys

I guess its going to be a wait for the recovery... I am able to boot into recovery but I am not able to configure the power button to select.

stuck in that situation now, will be able to get some time to work only this weekend.. :(

hello guys,
I m in a big trouble. i got my ninja 4 two days ago from adexmart.com and rooted it the same day and increased internal memory and ram for running heavy games.But now it i think there is a problem in my mobile. It is neither waking up after pressing switch on key nor booting into recovery... Please tell me what should i do? :confused::confused::confused::confused: I m really in need of ur help....:(:(

boot in to fastboot mode
press down volume + power buttom untill u see micromax logo
and then flash boot.img and check

by the way how did u increase the internal memory?

bro the sreen is not showing anything. already tried fast boot.and Increased internal memory by that link2sd method:(:(
what else can i do??

ok if ur able to boot into recovery then download this stock a87 rom
LQAEB28_2012-08-18_factory_update.zip

copy it to the sd card root and boot into recovery and select apply update from the zip

if recovery is not working then boot into fastboot + connect ur phone to pc and flash boot.img (1st extract the boot.img from the downloaded zip file)

then boot into recovery and select apply update from the zip

thanks for ur helf bro but i m not able to see any logo on my screen just a half second vibration when pressing switch on button and blank screen.

u must press both down volume and power button at the same time and hold it until u see white screen r logo (it will stay just here)
now connect to pc and try the fastboot commands

Already tried it several times. I think the lcd is burnt or may be any other fault in lcd. will go to service centre tomorrow.
one more stupid question....
I have rooted my phone. So are they going to fix my lcd for free or will charge me??:confused::confused::rolleyes:
