Root CWM V5.0.2.8 for MMX A87

hi vishal2218 how many days it took for u to receive a mobile from adexmart.com?
just asking as because i have ordered one from them....

just switch the phone on (if vibration comes,then your phone is not dead) and make a call to your number and see if it is receiving or not.
if it receives then its a lcd problem....

if not u might have messed up with the software.....
ask for the livesuit flash file from the micromax service center

My mentor is busy and without his help I can't do anything much...

One more think that I found was that init needs to be tweaked too.. By from what I have done so far, shouldn't be very difficult to get a working CWM.

Hope I will have it fixed by this weekend.

thats great

i wanna know that in a87 there is a zram of 51mb
i was able to disable it but can we make that 51mb to be added to main memory after disabling? is this possible?
 
an additional 51ram wud make a87 unbeatable in this segmnt...if we can make this zram take space from sdcard swap space..

Now thats something that I have been thinking about.. I dont see why it shouldn't be possible..But hey, we are dealing with Micromax here :mad: and I dont need to tell more..

I am waiting for the weekend. Hopefully will have some gud news for you all.

well i have attached the extracted stock recovery into rar ,which may be usefull for u
u where talking about the key mapping
there is a file called keys under
ramdisk_recovery\res

may be thats the file ur looking for

and i also tried on zram was able to disable but was unable to unmount or include that 51mb to main memory (help me guys)
damm these stock roms

any way waiting for recovery file from ur end

How did you try porting? just swapping the files and packing again?

Has anyone tried building a cwm from source? Thats the only way to get a working CWM on our phones. I may need some help here?

I have used the koush builder to build recovery. not sure if thats of any use. ;)

Hi CuteCriminal,
after the confirmation of the order it took about 2-3 days to reach my site. And secondly i have sent my phone back to them (adexmart.com).Hope they will replace my mobile...
(about the problem: It was not switching on,not showing any logo, was not going into fasrboot & recovery and even my pc was not recognizing that phone..:hmmmm::hmmmm::hmmmm::dong:

15gb :( ..hopeless!.. would be better if u can try n fix key mapping i guess :) .. and can the "default.prop" in original recovery posted by hemanth be edited to bypass the verification of stock rom ?..jst a gues..

yaar i would not download that 15gb so ,i tried replacing few files and flashing ,again try replacing few files and flash again

sometime i got white screen ,sometime white flashing screen and once auto restart

i also tired with unmount the zram (modded the init.rc) but somewhere else zram is been mounted and been used even if we disable it in init.rc

i think if we all share and mod together then we can get cwm soon and other stuff tooo

in default.prop we can change ro.secure=1 to ro.secure=0 which will allow adb to start as root(if i am correct) but will it work for verification error we have to check

yes that ro.secure=0, i remember doing with my 7 inch tablet..
i was hoping to edit lines like ..

ro.build.custom.internal.id=LQAEB28.1.0_W120818
ro.build.version.internal=LQAEB28_10982303_0.0.7W0818_A
ro.build.version.external=LQAEB28.1.1_MG19

may b these lines forces the stock recovery to flash only the original rom(LQAEB28_2012-08-18_factory_update.zip) ..by edting this acc to what is in the the booting cwm recovery's parameters, we may b able to use the stock recovery itself to flash custom rom ?...again a wilder gues!...but easier wud b to work on the keymapping :)
 
I can download those 15GB source.
What I can do is write those files on a dvd and courier it to your address but you guys will have to pay for dvd' s and courier charge ..... I have sold my mmx a87 and i will only do this to help the community

Ok, what I know about signature verification..

The signature is the cert.rsa file in the zip file. This has nothing to do with the build prop.

If you would like to disable signature verification, it needs to be done in the recovery binary..

Yeah guys. from what little i know this is true for a lot of android applications as well. We NEED the custom rom. trying to mod existing stock rom is not a good idea. there should be a reason why no one has tried it.

itzmiandy, whats up with the custom recovery key mappings bro.
