Root cwm

morning everyone ,

I have cwm recovery 4.0.0.0.9 on phone , rebooted yesterday and if goes straight to the cwm screen - not aware that anything had changed - if I reboot does the same , phone is running gingerbread 2.3 , any ideas , no been on android long so all help gratefully received , sorry to be more specific it comes up with the samsung details then goes to cwm screen

yes , I used cwm in recovery to restore from backup that I had made previous via sd card
