Root Cyanogen 7.0.0 with 720p. I want!?

I love Cyanogen 7.0.0. I've tried quite a few ROMS and I always go back to 7.0.0. The only thing its missing (for me) is 720p. Otherwise perfect. I'm sure at some point they'll fix it but I doing want to wait. Does anyone know of a ROM that is just like Cyanogen but has 720p? I'm being extremely picky, I know, but if anyone has any ideas, please tell!

I agree completely. I have been running CM7 for a couple months now and have been loving it, many features, very fast and great battery life with the correct kernel. The ONLY thing missing is 720p recording and 8MP widescreen camera. HOWEVER, from my quick testing I can not see much of a difference between the 6MP widescreen pics and the 8MP widescreen pics as well as the videos in 480p vs. 720p. Plus I like the fact that the videos in CM7 are in .m4v format vs. the .3gp format in other sense ROMS.

I have tried Skyraider 4.0 and WarmZTwoPointTwo for the testing. I personally do not like sense and hated using these ROMS daily, they are not as quick. But that may just be my phone. So after a few weeks of running these Sense ROMs I am going back to CM7, the benefits FOR ME outweigh the loss of the HD cam.

Anyway, I heard that the problem is with Gingerbread, Gingerbread is not made for the Inc. so not everything will work. Once there is a Gingerbread ROM with Sense built ontop of it is when we will see 720p and 8MP widescreen pics. I think in the thread I read it said summer 2011, so hopefully soon.

I haven't noticed the different pic formats and am not sure of the difference between the 2 (fairly new to the root scene). I do however take alot of pics and videos (I upload to youtube) and I upload them to my laptop. Thats where I see the difference. Big difference. Even so, I'm like you, I love Cyanogen to much to give it up for better capture quality. For now. I can handle waiting till summer.
