Root Cyanogen 7 - Couple of app issues.

Just installed Cyanogen 7 and it seems to be running well.
( thanks to the help on here :) )

I have a couple of issues.

I use Artis Fancy Contacts Widget, and this has always worked well for me.
Since reinstalling it won't show any images from facebook contacts. Images from gallery are fine.

I also have a contact setup for my carrier that dials there code to check for remaining minutes ( *100*7# ).
Dialling it normally is fine, dialling it from Artis it misses the # off the end so fails.

Any ideas ??

I also use Widget Locker, this is working fine except the buttons no longer unlock, I have to use the power button.
Any way around that ?

nothing to do with the rom

your widget locker issue is because you have not enabled it in the options
you may need to enable trackball wake on cyanogen mod but i think widget locker also does this. make sure the option is set


maybe artis doesnt like gingerbread

Previously on stock 2.2 I used to press home, back or search and the phone would unlock and return to the home screen.

If I have trackball unlock enabled in cyanogen options, then the trackball takes me to the widget locker unlock screen.

Whether I have this enabled or not, Widget unlocker doesn't work with any hardware buttons.

I think the contacts issue is due to the image being a Facebook contact image and not and android contact image. It doesn't work even if I join the contacts. ( although the contacts app will use the facebook image )

Anyway to make the android contact image mirror the joined facebook one ?

Odd, works for me - enable trackball wake in CM settings, then trackball unlock in WL, and 2 presses of trackball unlocks me. That's with no pin or pattern lock on, and WL easy wake mode off.
 
I've just removed and then reinstalled Widget locker.
( previously it was restored using titanian )
Now it's working for the double trackball press.
Shame the other buttons won't work, but I can live with that.

Any suggestions on Artis ? or a decent replacement ?

I can confirm this.



I use syncmypix to get facebook pictures sync'd
